Last year, a couple engineers from Conversant’s Chicago office got together and built a copy of a Gibson SG Jr. This was raffled off along with a couple other prizes provided by the company and brought in over $2,000 for Make-a-Wish in Illinois. This was so satisfying we decided to do it again for 2015!
The raffle was again kicked off at our annual holiday party at the world-renowned (and incredibly awesome) Chicago House of Blues. 35 musician/employees put on a great show:
This year’s design was based on a Leo Lospennato Radiostar and features a solid Ash body and custom tobacco burst finish:
The pickups were hand-wound by another Conversant engineer:
The time and materials for the guitar were donated by the engineers, along with some accessories and very cool second and third prizes provided by corporate parent ADS. Custom headstock engraving was donated by Jeanne Conway Lewis (Thanks!). Along with our corporate match, Conversant employees were able to raise and donate over $5,800 to Make-A-Wish this year!
