A Rockin’ Good Time and a $10,000 Check for a Great Cause
For the 9th consecutive year, the Conversant company band made some noise while providing the entertainment for our annual Chicago office holiday party. The 35-member “LCA Soundsystem” (Low Cost Alternative) took their act to the Chicago House of Blues mainstage for the third year in a row. The occasion was marked this year by a special premiere performance of “The Executives,” the “super group” featuring Conversant Chief Revenue Officer Jim Rund, President Ric Elert, and Epsilon/Conversant CEO Bryan Kennedy, doing their version of B.T.O’s “Taking Care of Business.”
This also marked the third year of our annual Charity Guitar Raffle to Benefit Make-A-Wish. As in years’ past we raffled off a hand-crafted electric guitar built and donated by a Conversant employee. This is an employee-generated raffle fully supported by the company - with 100% of proceeds donated to charity along with a dollar-for-dollar match by the company. Total ticket sales topped $4,400 which amounts to over $8,800 after the match. This donation was very generously “rounded up” to $10,000, bringing out 3-year total to nearly $18,000.
